Professional Statement
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); who has been working in the mental health field since 2016. I have extensive experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and their families. I also have worked extensively with victims of trauma, and I have training in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). I work with patients with a wide range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, substance use issues, career challenges, persistent suicidal ideation, and psychotic disorders. I am passionate about seeing marriages thrive and offering practical tools that are helpful in building communication, and overall increasing the quality of the relationship. My counseling style is warm and interactive and can also include a holistic and mindfulness approach. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion while decreasing the negative stigma associated with mental illness. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and client-centered counseling. I believe in using your strengths to motivate you, and in turn, assist you in obtaining the positive outcomes you desire. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs while working collaboratively with you. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you.
