Dr. Reya Kost is a dual licensed clinician as a Psychologist (PSY30795) and as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC53039) in San Diego. We could go on and on about her educational achievements, her list of certifications, and all the places she has gained her experience from, but we would rather talk about what she is passionate about: Connection. Dr. Kost takes great pride in her ability to bring people together from a therapeutic and an organizational stand point. Her passion to pursue her doctorate degree only speaks to her desire to learn more, connect more, and grow more. As a San Diego psychologist, Dr. Kost provides individual, couples and family therapy, workshops, trainings, and corporate coaching. Dr. Kost’s professional and human experiences include working in a variety of settings within the trauma, mental health, and substance use worlds. She believes that as humans our greatest gift and responsibility is to connect with each other, to learn from each other, and to provide space for each other to heal and develop. Dr. Kost specializes specifically in working with those who are struggling with substance use and developmental trauma. She also finds passion in joining those trying to manage symptoms of other traumas, depression, anxiety, and grief and loss. She brings both challenge and acceptance to the therapeutic space. She believes that everything we need and are searching for is already inside us, we just need the connection with another to process through it.
