Phil Takakjian, PhD is a well-trained and thoroughly experienced Clinical Psychologist who has been in the field of psychotherapy for over 30 years. In addition to being a sound generalist, he specializes in the treatment of Addiction, Trauma and Psychosomatic (mind/body) Disorders. While his Relational Therapy approach Is rooted in the traditions and practices of western psychology he is also thoroughly cross trained in Eastern Wisdom Traditions - specifically Buddhism. Phil has for 20 years, trained in and practiced Zen Buddhism. Phil asks, "How can we relieve the suffering of a whole person if we do not treat the whole person?" Phil is very compassionate and supportive and he is also very active in therapy and regularly assigns homework, practices for daily living and readings. It is Phil's deepest desire that his clients will come to discover and live from their True Self and their unbound True Nature and come to develop deep compassion for the suffering of others as well as their own
