Professional Statement
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist working with folks for the past 18 years, when I started my training in 2000. In 2005, I became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in private practice with a diverse population from children and families to individual adults, couples, and working with divorced parents on co-parenting. I provide a safe, calm, friendly, empathetic & down to earth environment for my clients. I feel it is important for people in therapy to be able to that space to explore the obstacles that prevent us from having a fulfilling life. I work from a psychodynamic/insight orientation but feel that it is crucial to develop the skills and the abilities to make changes in the here and now. In addition, I include mindfulness as a part of the work to help folks be able to become more in-tune with themselves.
