Professional Statement
The vocation of psychotherapy and the specialization of treating OCD and PTSD chose me. It was not a goal to enter this dynamic, challenging, and rewarding occupation. Rather, it compelled me to follow the steps that included leaving a whole other career and life behind. I was drawn to the profession through the classical psychoanalytic writings of Adler, Bion, Jung, Reich, and more contemporary work from Dr. Nancy McWilliams. However, the most pivotal book that planted the seed in my psyche to pursue this path was a Jungian inspired work titled “Goddesses in Everywoman” by Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolen
Clinical areas of focus are social anxiety, OCD, phobias, and PTSD. My practice integrates Brainspotting, EMDR, Flash Technique, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy to provide comprehensive, individualized care. This integrative framework allows me to tailor care to each client’s unique needs and pace, creating a safe, collaborative environment where healing and post-traumatic growth can occur.
