Professional Statement
Many times when we leave our home we may often present as having it all together, but behind closed doors we may be having worries about our future or questioning if we can meet life’s expectations . We might overthink if we are doing our best or if we will meet the approval of others. We may know we need to find balance, but it may be hard to prioritize our needs because it always feels like we should be doing more to validate our worth. As a result, we can question if what we are doing is good enough. I know that reaching out to a therapist can initially feel scary because you want to ensure you can feel safe with someone who you really connect with and who understands.
I help Millennials and Women manage anxiety, heal from perfectionism and societal narratives that tell you who and what you should be. The mission of my practice is to empower you to redefine your life experiences in your own voice, gain an understanding of your life story, and overcome mental barriers that set you back in feeling confident that you can be successful. Compassion, authenticity, and humor are my most valuable tools. My approach also lies heavily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, in which we examine underlying thoughts and feelings in response to life events, and gently support in discovering a new positive life narrative.
I feel therapy is an important step in beginning to look at your life in a different lens and I want you to have the coping tools to manage the challenging emotions that life can bring, while also increasing in self-love both past/present. Together, we will collaborate on a plan to have you on the road to healing. I look forward to working with you.
