Katarzyna Kanska, PsyD Adults Psychotherapy
Professional Statement
Welcome. I am a licensed clinical psychologist trained in psychodynamic/psychoanalytic psychotherapy and influenced by Jungian and humanistic theories. I primarily work with adult clients. I studied at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, and I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Access Institute in San Francisco. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with clients from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds, addressing issues related to trauma, challenging life transitions, immigration, acculturation, difficult relationships, loss/grief, and depression/anxiety. My approach is relational, culturally sensitive, and trauma informed. Whether you seek therapy for a specific issue, self-exploration, or your reasons are not yet fully formulated, your story is a unique one. Whatever brings you here, we will explore who '˜You' are underneath the surface of that which pains you in order to better understand how you feel and are in the world. We will work together to help you draw on your inner resources so that you can re-discover your own way of being and, hopefully, live your life more in harmony with your true/authentic self.
