Jennifer Collins, MFT Children, Adolescents, Adults, Couples, and Families Psychotherapy
Professional Statement
My name is Jennifer (but most people call me Jen). I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a second master’s degree in forensic psychology. I have been working as a therapist since 2012. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and in a group dynamic and can work with all age ranges from 6 years old on up. I can work with any mental health or mood disorder and specialize in processing trauma. A little of my background is I grew up on military bases since my dad worked in the Air Force where he retired. I have moved around quite a bit, so I am familiar with having to start over. I attended three different high schools before graduating and even though it was a struggle to pick up and move often, I am currently finding myself interested in traveling. I have a heart for those struggling and know what it means to have to overcome challenges in life. I am well versed in therapeutic orientations like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy to name a few. I believe that therapy relationships are a partnership of two people working towards the same goal. Let me partner with you to face and overcome whatever life decides to throw your way.
