Professional Statement

Dr. Jean Watkins is a Clinical Psychologist who earned her PsyD at the California School of Professional Psychology (Alliant International University). She completed her internship at the Student Counseling Center on campus. Post-doctoral hours were accrued at August F. Hawkins Mental Health Center in Los Angeles. She has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1991 in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings through the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Dr. Watkins is passionate about providing treatment that is short but deeply impactful. She provides trainings to adults on suicide prevention and Healthy Relationships. She also provides both crisis counseling and psychotherapy to help Adolescents, adults, and couples.
