Amber Steward-Davis, MFT Adult and Couples Psychotherapy
Professional Statement
I have over 25 years of licensed clinical experience working with adults, couples, and families. We worked on their issues ranging from chemical dependency, codependency, depression and anxiety, dysfunctional relationships, family of origin issues, pervasive negative patterns to phase of life problems.
I have experience working within outpatient and inpatient clinics in hospitals and residential programs as well as private practice.
I utilize a range of modalities: Psychodynamic Self Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, Harm Reduction, Communication and Relational Skill Building, Conflict Resolution, Spiritual/Mindfulness, and Hypnosis.
I work as an empathic guide by meeting a client where they are and create goals so they can embark on a path to find themselves. I believe they have an inner knowing of where they want to go when they are ready. I tap into the client's unconscious awareness and assist them with the use of hypnosis, mindfulness and spiritual understanding.
I accept a client with an understanding of their pain, interpretation of their experience through active listening, and compassion for the art of being fully human.
