James has spent the past decade working with children, individuals, couples and families. He knows that in the face of fear and wounding, we all struggle and feel alone. He became a therapist to accompany others on their journey back to wholeness. James’ style is dynamic and in-the-moment, and from the start he encourages his clients to incorporate their existing strengths and wisdom into the healing process. His original influences include Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, mythology, existentialism and mind-body oriented therapies, as well as spiritual teachings that normalize the human experience of suffering. He brings a rich background and training in the healing from physical and emotional trauma. James loves to help people make sense of the often-unbearable stories that prevent them from living the lives they desire. As clients work with him, they can find meaning in their stories, develop tools to deal with the stressors of busy lives and create the stories they want to live. James incorporates many therapeutic modalities to help his clients achieve their goals.
