Professional Statement
Hi, and welcome! I’m Esau, a licensed psychotherapist passionate about creating a warm, accepting space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is to truly hear you—your story, your struggles, and your hopes for the future. With a person-centered approach, I believe in walking alongside you on your journey to healing, providing guidance, support, and the right tools to help you thrive.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience where you feel empowered to take charge of your mental health. My approach is person-centered, meaning I prioritize your unique experiences, emotions, and perspectives. I integrate different therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, tailoring each session to what works best for you. I want therapy to be a place where you feel understood, challenged in a healthy way, and supported in becoming the best version of yourself.
I work with individuals across different age groups, including preteens (8-12), teens (13-17), and adults. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, stress management, and relationship challenges. I have experience supporting those dealing with domestic violence, sexual abuse, and dual diagnosis. I also work with LGBTQIA+ individuals and those navigating issues related to identity, mood disorders, and racial identity. Using strength-based approaches, I help my clients build resilience and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s difficulties.
I believe that open, honest communication is key to a successful therapeutic relationship. I provide a nonjudgmental space where you can express yourself freely. I listen attentively and respond with empathy, ensuring that you feel validated and supported. At the same time, I offer guidance and practical strategies to help you work through challenges and achieve your goals.
I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping others navigate their struggles and find hope. Over the years, I have worked with individuals facing a variety of challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. My experience has shown me that healing is possible with the right support, and I am committed to walking alongside my clients on their path to recovery.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and empowered. I want to help you develop the skills and confidence to manage life’s challenges in a way that works best for you. Whether you are looking to process past trauma, improve relationships, or simply gain better coping skills, we will work together to create a plan that supports your healing and personal growth.
Our first session will be an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy and how your challenges are affecting you. We will conduct an assessment to understand your needs and begin identifying goals for treatment. From there, we will develop a personalized plan to guide our sessions. Therapy is a collaborative process, and you have the freedom to move at your own pace. You are always in control of your journey, and I will be here to support you every step of the way
