Professional Statement

Welcome! My name is Destinee, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My education includes a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in clinical counseling, both from California State University, Fullerton. I've completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (TF-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)), along with a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification. My clinical experience includes primarily working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and substance use. My overall goal is to help my clients find mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness, which looks different for every individual! I love to work collaboratively with my clients and incorporate their unique beliefs, experiences, and passions into the work that we do together. I strive to bring my authentic personality into sessions to help create the trust and safety necessary for us to do some of the tougher work, and I can't wait to begin this journey with you!
