Professional Statement
Hello, I’m Casandra — a proud Latina and first-generation college graduate. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for supporting young adults and college students as they navigate life’s challenges. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, life transitions, family dynamics, relationship concerns, and more. Whether you’re working through a specific issue or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you build the tools and confidence needed to navigate life’s ups and downs. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe and supported and together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and empowerment-focused, aiming to help you strengthen your emotional well-being, improve your quality of life, and tap into your full potential. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from San Jose State University and my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. My professional background includes extensive experience as a medical and complex social worker in the hospital setting, where I worked with individuals facing a wide range of mental health crises — including depression, anxiety trauma, grief, suicidal ideation, substance use, and more. Currently, I work with college students and young adults navigating the transition into adulthood — balancing academics, work, relationships, and cultural or family expectations. I understand that reaching out for support can be a big step, and I’m honored to walk alongside you on your path to healing. Please feel free to contact me when you’re ready to begin.
