Carolina is passionate about helping clients embody a life of meaning and purpose. She finds great fulfillment in helping clients construct a life that aligns with their most deeply cherished values and aiding them through life’s major transitions, such as starting college, moving in with a partner or getting married, ending a relationship or getting divorced, adjusting to menopause, or grieving the death of a friend or family member. Carolina is experienced in working with individuals, couples, and families coping with struggles relating to past trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, and grief. Carolina specializes in relationally focused therapy. She helps clients process past relational trauma, supports them in identifying and expressing their emotional needs, and helps them develop healthy relational skills so that they may enjoy more fulfilling relationships. Carolina also specializes in helping women nurture more self-compassion, courage, and self-confidence. Carolina received her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy and her M.A. in Applied Linguistics from San Diego State University. Carolina's theoretical approach to therapy draws upon Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
