Brian Wolfe, MFT Adults, Couples, Family
Professional Statement
I cannot imagine an 'ideal' client. I do enjoy working with engaged individuals, teenagers, couples and Family interested in learning more about themselves and their relationships in the world. I have been well versed in a myriad of theoretical modalities Being eclectic means being able to utilize many different ways of treatment for support with an emphasis on evidence based treatment. I do not believe my clients must be in therapy forever. I appreciate setting benchmarks in treatment with achievable outcome goals. I believe most people want to feel graceful and dignified in their lives and relationships. I have been well versed in a myriad of theoretical modalities Evidence based modalities with achievable goals and outcomes work best. I appreciate whatever brought you my way took some time to become evident. Patience with ourselves to learn skills to avoid the same problems which seem to occur over and over. Having better problems in life. I have never, in 23 years of being in this field met a client who told me that when they were young they dreamed of 'being a mess.' No one ever wishes mental health/relational issues upon ourselves they can just happen or be the result of intergenerational trauma being passed down from one generation to the next. A non-judgmental stance is best.
