Professional Statement

I am Andrea Marez. I attended the University of La Verne for my undergraduate degree and Simmons University for my Master's Degree in Social Work. I started my career by providing support to victims of domestic violence and have since branched out into working with individuals (children, adolescents and adults) with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and family relationships. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities throughout sessions depending on the client's needs, but specifically engage in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My hope for my clients is to work towards getting to know themselves better while using a client centered approach that is warm and empathetic. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach with my kids and husband and relaxing in the warm sun. I love trying new foods and truly abide by work-life balance.
