Professional Statement
As a strong mental health advocate with a deep understanding of how multiple systems may impact an individual, I work with clients who experience intergenerational trauma, stressors relating to major life transitions, and those who wish to improve the overall quality of their interpersonal relationships. I utilize an integrated approach consisting of emotion-focused, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I provide clients with the space to explore difficult emotions in order to discover the "why" behind the feeling. I also incorporate mindfulness and self-compassion exercises in my practice as a foundation for clients to return to. As narrative therapy states, "The person is not the problem. The problem is the problem." I seek to provide my clients with the safe space they need to process the unfamiliar and challenging. Together, I hope to guide clients in their journey of self-growth, discovery, and understanding.
