Tona Farlow was born and raised in New York and moved to California at age 19. Tona obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 1999 from the University of Central Texas, which led to a 19-year career in law enforcement, where she held positions in juvenile hall as a juvenile correctional counselor to working in field and making home visits in the community. With Probation Tona held positions that were treatment related and she had a true passion for helping people. In 2016, Tona enrolled in a Master program at Brandman University to study Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2018, Tona graduated with a master's degree and embarked on a new career as a therapist two years later, holding positions at the county jail, Juvenile Hall, group home, medical setting, community clinic, nonprofit and substance Abuse (Physical, Sexual, etc.). In 2021, Tona received additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) (Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing) to assist clients who have experienced a traumatic event and assist them with alleviating
