Nice to Meet You

Hello! I am Sara Welsh, a licensed marriage and family therapist, with over a decade of experience working with children, Adolescents, Family, and individuals. Daily challenges, difficult emotions, and painful moments/experiences are common, shared experiences of being human. From life transitions to simply feeling lost, alone, sad or anxious, these moments offer opportunities for transformation, growth, and healing. Whether you've tried therapy before or this is the first time, starting counseling is a positive step towards accessing your internal resilience and bringing voice to your authentic self. By focusing on identifying/expressing emotions and developing coping strategies, we work together to build an inner toolbox to access during tough or stressful times. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you uncover dysfunctional patterns of thinking and behavior that contribute to dissatisfaction in your life. I also utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy, which concentrates on finding solutions in the present time and exploring your hope for the future to find quicker resolutions to the challenges you are facing. I have also completed Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training, which is proven to be effective in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias and panic disorders. With a non-judgmental and compassionate approach, I offer a safe and brave space for you to be seen, heard, and accepted. I hope to partner with you in this journey, to support you in achieving your desired goals. I look forward to meeting with you soon!
