Nice to Meet You
I’m Dr. Lisa LaFave, a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience working with teenagers and adults in many different settings.
My passion is supporting people who are in pain, or who have been wounded in relationships and struggle to see a path forward for themselves.
Depression, anxiety, and the impact of traumatic relationships may be signposts that you might benefit from psychotherapy to address the underlying causes that are creating these symptoms in your life. You can engage in this work and grow, heal and flourish. You don’t have to try to heal alone. Hope, growth, and joy are possible.
I partner with my patients and help them listen to their lives so that they can heal and explore new possibilities. This isn’t easy work, but it’s important and life-giving.
My goal is to explore the story of your life with you, and help you address the experiences and relational hiccups that have contributed to your difficulties now, through the lens of a healing, psychotherapeutic relationship.

Missed and Late Cancel Office Policy: Our
office requires two
full business days’ notice (48 hours) to cancel or reschedule your
appointment or your credit card will be charged a late cancellation fee.
Saturdays, Sundays, and Legal Holidays are not counted as business days
(i.e., if you have an appointment on Monday at 11:00 am, and you wish to
change it without penalty, you would need to call our office on the
preceding Thursday morning before 11:00 a.m. to avoid the late cancellation
fee). The late cancellation fee is $150 for a session with a psychiatrist,
or $100 for a session with a psychologist or master’s level therapist. If
you are not present at the start time of your scheduled appointment, it may
be marked as missed by your provider. Unfortunately, we cannot bill your
insurance for late cancellations, missed sessions, and appointments with too
little time. We apologize that there are no exceptions to the late
cancellation policy.
