Dr. Joseph Madrid believes all people should have the opportunity to reach their full potential, contribute to society, and have a voice. He has worked in a spectrum of services including inpatient/outpatient behavioral health services at St. Joseph Hospital, at-risk youth programs, worker compensation system, and longer-term outpatient treatment settings as well as private practice. Joseph is a therapist that empowers clients by using an integrative approach to his clinical work, matching evidence-based treatments from a range of psychotherapies, Psychodynamic, Schema-Therapy, Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Transtheoretical Model, and Family Systems that is individualized to each client he sees to best meet their actual needs. Joseph received his BA from Vanguard University, Master of Social Work from University of Southern California, and completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In addition, his specialties include relationship issues, workplace conflict, marital problems, mental health disorders, treatment-resistant persistent depression, personality difficulties, life adjustment, substance/addiction Abuse (Physical, Sexual, etc.), and grief and loss. Joseph is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and he is also a pre-licensed Psychologist. Missed and Late Cancel Office Policy: Our office requires two full business days’ notice (48 hours) to cancel or reschedule your appointment or your credit card will be charged a late cancellation fee. Saturdays, Sundays, and Legal Holidays are not counted as business days (i.e., if you have an appointment on Monday at 11:00 am, and you wish to change it without penalty, you would need to call our office on the preceding Thursday morning before 11:00 a.m. to avoid the late cancellation fee). The late cancellation fee is $150 for a session with a psychiatrist, or $100 for a session with a psychologist or master’s level therapist. If you are not present at the start time of your scheduled appointment, it may be marked as missed by your provider. Unfortunately, we cannot bill your insurance for late cancellations, missed sessions, and appointments with too little time. We apologize that there are no exceptions to the late cancellation policy.
