Diane Navarro-Prescott is an LCSW who has worked in the field of mental health for over 14 years. She has a diverse background working with all ages and all backgrounds. Diane has experience working with children, Adolescents, adults, and Family who have experienced significant trauma, emotional Abuse (Physical, Sexual, etc.), physical Abuse (Physical, Sexual, etc.), domestic violence, sexual Abuse (Physical, Sexual, etc.), family trauma, addictions, and co-occurring disorders. Her other areas of skill are with treating victims of domestic violence and women who are dealing with post-partum depression along with emotional trauma symptoms. Diane's training has provided a significant amount of experience working with young adults who are facing obsessive thoughts, anxiety, low self-esteem, and depression while transitioning into their adult years. Diane's areas of knowledge are also working with older adults suffering from grief/trauma and long term chronic mental health disorders. In addition to being specialized in children and Family, Diane has training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) (Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)) and Psychodynamic Therapy. Diane received her Pupil Personal School Credential in 2004 and has worked alongside many students who are being emotionally challenged and having difficulty with school performance. She is very dedicated to helping students improve their overall mental health so they may successfully complete school while managing their mental health symptoms. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and CAMFT. Diane also works with providing support to those in need of pet therapy companionship while traveling both within the states and abroad. She is a strong advocate for those needing this special companionship to reduce overall anxiety and depressive symptoms.
