Dr. King has extensive experience working with an extremely diverse array of clients that struggle in various ways. His therapeutic approach centers around discovering together an understanding of the client's individual nature, and how the sociocultural arena influences people's experiences of themselves and others. While facilitating many new insights, Dr. King helps clients find their own paths through their internal and external struggles to achieve a sense of contentment, happiness, and a healthier identity. Dr. King uses scientific research and a blend of psychological theories to inform treatment. Dr. King's areas of expertise include all types of relationship problems including family problems, depression, anger issues, trauma, mental and physical pain, and those with generalized feelings of emptiness. Dr. King has worked in medical settings and is familiar with the common psychological aspects of many health problems. He also provides therapy in Spanish, has worked with many Latino clients in a culturally sensitive manner and has a profound appreciation of the importance of culture. Dr. King is a practical, flexible and open-minded therapist that caters to the specific needs of client in a creative and empathetic manner. A musician and generally creative person, Dr. King uses therapy to help clients access their own self-expression and creativity in new and exciting ways to facilitate a better and more fulfilling life.

Missed and Late Cancel Office Policy: Our
office requires two
full business days’ notice (48 hours) to cancel or reschedule your
appointment or your credit card will be charged a late cancellation fee.
Saturdays, Sundays, and Legal Holidays are not counted as business days
(i.e., if you have an appointment on Monday at 11:00 am, and you wish to
change it without penalty, you would need to call our office on the
preceding Thursday morning before 11:00 a.m. to avoid the late cancellation
fee). The late cancellation fee is $150 for a session with a psychiatrist,
or $100 for a session with a psychologist or master’s level therapist. If
you are not present at the start time of your scheduled appointment, it may
be marked as missed by your provider. Unfortunately, we cannot bill your
insurance for late cancellations, missed sessions, and appointments with too
little time. We apologize that there are no exceptions to the late
cancellation policy.
