Professional Statement

Dr. Susana Castellanos, PhD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who was born and raised in the Central Valley of California.  She attended California State University, Fresno for her undergraduate education and obtained her doctoral degree from California School of Professional Psychology, AIU in Fresno, CA.  Dr. Castellanos is a proud Veteran of the United Stated Air Force and completed her APA accredited predoctoral internship with the USAF at Wright-Patterson, AFB in Ohio.  Dr. Castellanos has been practicing Clinical Psychology for more than 18 years.   Since becoming a licensed Clinical Psychologist, she has worked for the Department of Defense and also practices privately working with nonmilitary populations.  She has experience in treating a variety of mental health issues including mood disorders, PTSD and personality disorders.  She practices evidence based treatments including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Prolong Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
