Dr. Stephanie McGrath is a licensed psychologist who provides her clients with a warm, safe therapeutic relationship from which they can explore and move past the obstacles that have interfered with living life in line with their values. Dr. McGrath is passionate about empowering people who feel “stuck” to create meaning of their experiences and enact lasting, positive change. Dr. McGrath has experience working with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship conflicts, stress management, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, LGBTQ identity development, OCD, autism spectrum disorders, psychosis, substance abuse, and trauma recovery. She integrates contemporary psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, attachment theory, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure with response prevention (ERP), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) perspectives in order to provide culturally-competent treatment tailored to her individual clients’ needs. She has previously worked within university counseling centers and specializes in treating adults.
