Professional Statement
Dr. Newcombe takes a collaborative approach to therapy and creates a safe and warm atmosphere to enable clients to feel comfortable opening up to him. He believes people can begin therapy when they feel stuck or are in pain, and can use therapy as a tool to process feelings and overcome obstacles that are interfering with their ability to live a more satisfying life.
Dr. Newcombe's specialties include depression, anxiety, student and young adult issues, life transitions, family issues,, relationship issues, cultural and ethnic issues, LGBTQ issues, and identity development. He uses an eclectic style of therapy and believes each client benefits from their own unique combination of different approaches to meet their specific needs.
