Professional Statement
Dr. Krause is a California licensed Clinical Psychologist. He has held a deep fascination with “human experience” and personality which was further clarified while studying Philosophy, Sociology and Psychology at Chico State University. He matriculated to Texas A&M University to earn his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology. He studied and conducted research in the area of Human Emotion while earning his advanced degrees at TAMU. Dr. Krause has over 20 years of experience working in private practice, schools, correctional facilities, juvenile probation, county mental health programs, psychiatric inpatient facilities, foster care, suicide prevention and substance abuse recovery. He has extensive experience working with children, parents, adolescents, adults and couples. Dr. Krause views psychotherapy as a collaborative relationship that is wholly focused on helping his clients build insight, overcome obstacles, improve emotional well-being, cope with life challenges and advance themselves in this complicated world. He will use a variety of therapeutic tools to assist his clients with achieving their desired outcomes. When not working, Dr. Krause enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, building, designing, investing, studying, sports and spending quality time with his family.
