Professional Statement
My professional path shifted when a loved had the courage to speak up about traumatic events that significantly impacted her life. Searching for answers to help her cope with her distress, I was inspired and motivated to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have 9 years of mental health experience working with clients from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. My clients have ranged from children, adults, seniors, couples, and families. I have experience working with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance use, and adjustments to life stages. I believe the healing journey is a personal and shared experience. I come with the intention to honor, respect, and help create a setting that promotes emotional and personal growth. I hope to use my presence and genuine care for others to help you feel heard, seen, and supported so that you may flow in the direction of transformation, if that is your intention. I take a client centered approach using treatment modalities including EMDR, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
