Professional Statement

Lizelle has been practicing social work since 1991 and particularly enjoys working with millennials. This generation is often accomplished but struggle with bigger life questions and Lizelle offers a warm collaborative relationship rooted in self-compassion. Lizelle has experience in working with youth, Family and individual adults to manage trauma (from childhood, community and generational experiences) and make successful transitions to improve health and quality of life. She is skilled at providing a safe place that allows patients to explore their sorrows and anxieties with hope, compassion and humor. She utilizes evidence-based interventions drawing from trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and also Somatic approaches to maximize health. Lizelle offers in person therapy in San Diego and tele-pschotherapy to others.
