Professional Statement
With over 13 years of post-graduate experience, I am an empathetic and compassionate psychotherapist based in Los Angeles. I earned my master’s in social work from the University of Texas at Austin, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical practice and a profound commitment to helping individuals navigate challenging life circumstances. I specialize in trauma, grief and loss, and process addictions. I provide a supportive space for my clients to explore their experiences and emotions. I am certified in Trauma Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which allows me to explore trauma with my client while I teach distress tolerance techniques. Through utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques, I provide every client with an individualized care plan tailored to meet their specific needs. My approach focuses on helping clients understand the underlying reasons for their behaviors, fostering insight and self-awareness. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working with trauma, adverse childhood experiences, grief and loss, mental illness, substance abuse, and antepartum and postpartum mental health challenges. I believe that healing involves addressing both the mind and body so I integrate somatic work into my practice to teach my clients about the powerful mind-body connection. This integrative approach empowers clients to reconnect with their bodies, process their emotions, and cultivate resilience. Through our work together, you will regain a sense of normal functioning, guiding you towards happier, more fulfilling life. I view therapy as a collaborative journey, and I am here to support and uplift you as you work toward your personal goals. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life and find a path to healing and growth.
