Professional Statement

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and have 16 years of experience in community mental health, schools, and group homes supporting underserved children, teens, adults, and families who struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, attachment, autism, ADHD, ODD, and substance use disorder, while the last 2 years supporting active military duty members and their families experiencing familial distress, anxiety and panic disorders, divorce, complex PTSD, grief/loss, postpartum issues, and life transitions. I integrate trauma focused CBT, CBT, inner child work, holistic-body and mind, family systems, and mindfulness-based in my work, while being culturally sensitive and trauma informed in my individualized treatment with clients from different diversity and backgrounds. My approach is collaborative and client-centered to create a safe and non-judgmental environment to empower my clients to process their life challenges and or traumatic experiences while acquiring coping skills to overcome them. In turn, facilitate change in thought and behavior, find meaning in their own narrative, a more integrated self, and find their voice to live a more holistic and emotionally balanced life.
