Dr. Heather Hobson is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor (CATC), Co-occurring Disorders Specialist and Master’s Level Registered Addiction Specialist. Dr. Hobson has worked in the field of mental health for over fifteen years. She completed both her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship training at UCSF Trauma Recovery Center and offers specialized trauma-informed treatment. Dr. Hobson has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic/depth therapy, case management, and harm reduction approaches to therapy. Her areas of specialty are treating co-occurring disorders, LGBTQQ issues, mood and relational disturbances, anxiety disorders, addictive behaviors, mindfulness, holistic and integrated treatment, and existential topics. She is dedicated to providing respectful, compassionate, and effective mental health treatment that allows each client to heal and grow in his or her own unique way.
