Haleh Nekoorad-Long, M.D., a certified adult and geriatric psychiatrist has been in practice for more than 26 years. She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She completed her residency at the Emory University School of Medicine, specializing in general psychiatry. Following her residency, she completed a fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine in Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry. Dr. Nekoorad-Long is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. She is board certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry and is a member of the American Medical Association and American Association of Geriatric Psychiatrists. Dr. Nekoorad-Long works with a different array of mental illnesses, and specializes in managing multiple medications and their possible interactions. She enjoys the interaction and education with her patients to help them better understand their condition and work together to come up with an appropriate treatment plan.
