Professional Statement
It takes an immense amount of courage to seek help. Congratulations on your bravery and taking the first step. I’ve been a therapist since 2005 and have extensive experience in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, family and partner relationships, adolescent issues, domestic violence, chronic medical illnesses and chronic pain just to name a few of life’s perils. I believe that just as we are unique individuals, so too should our treatment in therapy be. There is no “one size fits all” for each person in therapy. I utilize an eclectic style of therapy approaches derived from psychodynamic, family systems, experiential, cognitive behavioral, person centered, solution focused and acceptance and commitment therapy. I also have training in EMDR for trauma related issues. Life can be very difficult with seasons ranging from tranquility and optimism to a shift where we find ourselves in inner turmoil, difficult and unbearable family and partner relationships, career and work life, and for some, chronic medical illnesses and chronic pain. Whatever the reason that is driving you to contemplate and/or seek therapy; I will provide you with a nurturing, accepting and warm environment. One where you can be yourself without any judgment or criticism. We will work on whatever issues you would like to address in therapy. I look forward to joining you on your path, give me a call today and we’ll begin your journey.
