Cheng Vang, PhD Adults
Hi! My name is Dr. Cheng Vang. I was born and raised in Stockton, California in a family that values family connectedness, supporting one another for our own individual growth, and helping those who are in need. During my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends. When treating children and adolescents, I take on a client-led and collaborative approach assisting clients in developing healthy and positive responses to issues related to mental, emotional, and behavioral health. I achieve this by exploring and teaching them how to manage their stressors while engaging them in preferred activities. When treating adults and older adults, I join clients in working through their stressors, teaching them effective methods to manage their mood through cognitive and behavioral techniques, and teaching them to make new meanings so that they could thrive in their everyday activities. I specialize in working with those who are going through depression, anxiety, and the effects of trauma. Additionally, I have over 10 years of experience working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
