Catherine Direen, MFT Adult and Couples Psychotherapy
Professional Statement
I am a licensed psychotherapist who brings a warm, interactive style to work with adults. My approaches are grounded in contemporary psychodynamic theory and focus on helping clients make the changes they'd like to see. Depression, anxiety, loneliness, lack of direction, professional dissatisfaction, the aftermath of trauma - these are symptoms of something deeper calling out for help. Working together, we can find out what stands between you and emotional balance, happiness and strength. My specialties also include working with LGBTQ clients, including exploring sexual orientation, gender and non-binary identities, and gender transitioning. I also understand your context when gender and orientation are settled and you're seeking therapy to address other concerns entirely.
