I believe that therapy is a collaborative process built on a foundation of connection and compassion for self. My practice is devoted to helping individuals, couples and families grow, discover and reclaim their inherent strengths. I value building an authentic relationship with my clients which I believe is integral to increasing connection and building trust. I have expertise working with a wide range of mental health issues and have been involved in the addiction recovery field for 3 decades. I specialize in providing support, education, prevention and crisis management to those who are struggling with drug and alcohol issues as well as depression and anxiety symptoms that may be a result of, or contributor to, the use of substances. I meet my clients “where they’re at”, meaning that I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach to treatment and/or recovery. I use an integrative approach in my work that draws from evidenced-based therapies, my clinical expertise and the client’s unique characteristics, experience and goals.
