Michell Torres, LCSW is a psychotherapist based in the East Bay. She graduated from UC Berkeley and has over 25 years’ experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, acute psychiatric disorders and chronic disease management. Michell has a warm and engaging style focused on meeting clients where they are at and supporting their life’s journey. She uses an integrative approach and her style is influenced by cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, transpersonal psychology and energy psychology techniques. “My focus is on working with the mind and body as a whole person. We are more than just our thoughts or physical body. Our current experiences encompass the mental, physical, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual aspects of ourselves.” Michell is certified in Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), an energy medicine treatment, and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). In addition, she has been trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). She has worked with people of diverse backgrounds and interests. She specializes in working with individuals going through life transitions, relationship issues, medical challenges, history of trauma, and First Responders. She is available to work with clients face to face, as well as via secure video conference.
