Nice to Meet You

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.' - Carl Rogers    In a very real way, life is like a puzzle, with many pieces to choose from and we try to find those pieces that fit smoothly together. However, life becomes troubling when what we have chosen such as job, friends, spouse, exercise, substances doesn't fit and the same problems seem to occur in one situation after another, making life seem even more frustrating and confusing.    If you are a parent, you may worry when you know something is wrong with your child.'¯ Most children do not have the language skills to express their worries, they struggle to cope and suffer in ways that cause their parents to be concerned.'¯ In these struggles they become overwhelmed and express their troubles through difficult behaviors at home and at school. I help parents to listen and respond in new ways to their child, which helps them with their troubles that interfere with their schooling and cause troubles with peers.'¯    I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, stage of life issues and interpersonal challenges within a broad age range of clients and post-partum depression related challenges. Furthermore, I have an extensive background treating substance use/Abuse (Physical, Sexual, etc.) related problems. I have an undergraduate degree in social studies from Eger, Hungary and a master's degree in counseling psychology from Santa Clara University, CA. Currently I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist accredited by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in the state of California.   My specialties are short-term psychoanalytic therapy, play therapy, co- and parallel parenting counseling, postpartum depression, trauma work, and anxiety/depression.
